In honour of Kim Phuc Phan Thi, the Kim Phúc Award for Youth Peace Leadership is awarded by Canadian Voice of Women for Peace to “a youth peace activist for her peace-building efforts.”
Inspired by her own mother’s strength and the many doctors and nurses who cared for her, Kim has dedicated this award to young “women who not only have overcome the many obstacles in their own life, but also strive to inspire and help other women to overcome obstacles, especially in the next generation; this requires true strength”.
