Context
In Romania many children suffer from “institutional abuse” resulting from widespread neglect by certain authorities. A team of Romanian health care and social service professions requested training in 1996. The team supported between 150 and 200 victims of child abuse in 2001 which entailed approximately 900 consultations.
Assistance
The KIM Foundation Intl. purchased training material, supplies and medication, and paid for transportation and communication expenses for health care and social services professionals.
